We apologize for the inconvenience! There will be a Turkey Trot 5K in Columbia Falls on Thanksgiving morning that will also be collecting food for the North Valley Food Bank!
Start off your Thanksgiving morning with a 5K run or walk around Whitefish, starting and ending at the North Valley Food Bank.
PARKING: limited parking is available courtesy of The Wave Aquatic & Fitness Center in the nearby parking lot.
COURSE: The 3.1 mile course begins at the North Valley Food Bank. Participants will run or walk down Baker Ave. into downtown Whitefish, and make left turns on East 3rd Street and Obrien Ave, crossing the Whitefish River on the footbridge. Trotters will turn right onto Eliot Ave as it turns into West 5th St, turn right on Geddes Ave, left on West 3rd Street, left on Karrow, left on West 7th Street, and right onto Obrien back to the start. The route will be marked and volunteer course marshals will help direct participants along the route.
There will not be an aid station along the route, but water and snacks will be provided at the finish area.
DONATIONS:
We encourage you to bring food donations to the food bank if you can! In particular, the food bank is in need of: turkeys, hams, fresh potatoes and yams, canned yams, canned corn, cranberry sauce, pie filling, dehydrated potatoes, stuffing, gravy mix, cornbread mix, crescent rolls, boxed pie crust, butter, olive oil, oats, flour, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and/or salt and pepper.
A portion of all event proceeds go to the North Valley Food Bank.
